Project Description
D-A-S Construction Co. served as the general contractor for the ground up construction Garfield Court, a new Memory Care Neighborhood adjoined to the existing 7 year old Kemper House facility. Construction of the 15,600 square foot building addition began in November 2007 and was completed in September 2008. The new neighborhood is located on the northwest side of the building and includes 18 spacious suites, a dining room, living room, two enclosed private courtyards and a large community room. One very unique feature of the addition was the use of a pre-fabricated, ultra energy efficient, environmentally friendly building system from Cleveland based Green-Source Products. This project included HUD (US Department of Housing & Urban Development) Financing.
